Mission Statement:
The Pitt Alumni Recruitment Team and Pitt Parent Admissions Recruitment Team utilizes alumni and current student parents to increase University
of Pittsburgh visibility across the nation, extend undergraduate recruitment efforts far beyond their usual scope,
and share Pitt experiences from an alumni and parent perspective.
Alumni and Parent members:
- Represent the University of Pittsburgh at thousands of college fairs nationwide
- Act as a contact for prospective students in their area
- Serve a local high school by assisting with distribution of recruitment materials
Alumni and Parent members volunteer their time in order to:
- Increase the University of Pittsburgh’s visibility across the nation
- Extend undergraduate recruitment far beyond the typical scope of the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid
- Alumni members share their perspective of what it’s like to be a Pitt alumnus
- Parent members share their son or daughter’s positive Pitt experiences and their experiences as a Pitt Parent
Alumni and Parent members are prepared to assist with recruitment activities by:
- Completing an online training and receiving certification
- Utilizing and retaining a training manual
- Communicating and working with a personal contact within the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid

| Breanne Caution, Associate Director |

Originally from Chambersburg, PA, Breanne moved to Pittsburgh 12 years ago and has since received her B.A. in English Writing
in 2001 and her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration in December 2005, both from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been
employed in the undergraduate Office of Admissions and Financial Aid for eight years coordinating the PittStart
program (freshman academic orientation), diversity recruitment initiatives, and volunteer programs.

Kerri Meeks, Assistant Director

Kerri is a 2004 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in
Social Work at Pitt. As an undergraduate,
she participated in the University of Pittsburgh Marching Band, Tau Beta Sigma Honorary Sorority, and was a Pitt
Pathfinder. Kerri is a member of the Pitt Band Alumni Council, volunteers as a Crisis Line Specialist,
and is an avid Pitt Panther football and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She serves as the PART program Manager.

| Damon Wehrli, Assistant Director |
|
Pittsburgh native, Damon received his B.S. in Communications in 1993 from Clarion University of
Pennsylvania and is currently a student in the School of Information Sciences at the University of
Pittsburgh. He has been employed in the undergraduate Office of Admissions and Financial Aid for 3
years and has worked in higher education since 1994. As part of his duties as an Admissions Counselor,
he also is involved with the PittStart programs, and coordinates the Adopt a School Program and the
Faculty Admissions Support Team.

| Courtney Kase, Graduate Student Assistant |
|
Courtney, originally from Tinley Park, Illinois, is a recent graduate from the University of
Pittsburgh's School of Arts and Sciences with a major in Neuroscience and certificate in Conceptual
Foundations of Medicine. As an undergraduate, she was a Pitt Pathfinder, brother of Phi Sigma Pi
National Honor Fraternity, member of Student Global AIDS Project, and Undergraduate TA for freshman
biology. Courtney is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Public Health at the University of
Pittsburgh. She is an assistant to the PART program and an admissions counselor.
